London to Paris by bicycle for The Stroke Association
Orpheus colleagues Katie Sexton and Ruth Symons, along with Mat Hurst and Ali Steele, will be cycling from London to Paris to raise money and awareness for The Stroke Association. The group, pictured here outside our offices on the Church Green, will set out bright and early from Twickenham, London on 9th September 2010, crossing roads, rivers and the English Channel. They are set to arrive in Paris 244 miles and three days later—a tremendous undertaking, especially considering that Katie and Ruth didn't learn to ride a bicycle until they were teenagers.
The Stroke Association funds important research into prevention, treatment and better methods of rehabilitation from stroke, which is the third most common killer in the UK and the number one cause of disability in adults. The Association also helps stroke survivors and their families directly through community services.

New Titles
We are very pleased to announce Diary of a Viking Peril, a mysterious Norse tale of intrigue and dragons, as the sixth title in our bestselling Diaries series for December 2010. Diary of a Roman Challenge, the fifth title in the series, will be published in Summer 2010. Contact us for more information about schedules and rights available.
The first five titles in the new Time Key series are now complete. This is an alternative version of our Diaries series without all the flaps and insert booklets, but still with the great combination of adventure story and historical information.
The first two titles in our exciting new Mission Files series are now complete. We had a very enthusiastic response in Bologna to the newly published Build a Castle and Build a Pyramid, and we look forward to presenting the third and fourth titles in Frankfurt 2010: Sail a Galleon and Fly to Mars, complete with a model ship and model spacecraft! Click here to find out more about the series.
Our Mission Files series is also now available in a straight-book format—no fold-outs, no thumb indexes—but just as innovative, incorporating all the same material.
The popular How it Works series will soon be available in an alternative version without flaps. We look forward to presenting this new version in Frankfurt 2010.
Now available: the brand new edition of the Children's Illustrated Encyclopedia. It's in twenty fully illustrated volumes packed with information for home and school use, re-designed and updated.
Development work on our new multi-volume reference series, the Illustrated Dictionary is now in full swing. Click here for more information.
